Summer Thoughts

Summer is a wonderful time at Chapel on the Hill. Some of our extra programs are on hiatus, but so much is still going on, and it's a great time for fellowship and for appreciating the gift this church is to us.

The beauty of our church has increased, thanks to Mark and David Schoonfield and their landscaping company.

The back of the church, which is actually where so many of us enter the building each week, has had a makeover, which extends the entire length of the building.

What a difference from this - the whole mess with the leaking oil tank that had to be removed. That's now just a dim memory!

We've also had a wedding here.

This picture of the wedding bulletin and the candy box Karen Enchelmaier made as favors for everyone is just the beginning. You can read all about it here. Bring your Kleenex...

We had our June picnic last week - what a great time!

The rain held off, and eighty-five people gathered for an evening of grilling and fun, on the Chapel grounds. We also celebrated Frank Scerbo's birthday - and rejoiced in one another's company! The kids played ball, the toddlers toddled, we laughed and joked and got to know more new people. And Pastor Bill apologized the following Sunday for not being able to count how many windows are on the left side of the sanctuary. (A quiz question. Can't win them all!)

When we left the picnic and headed home, we saw the sign everyone was talking about.

What a nice surprise! We gave permission for the Middle School, two doors down, to use our parking lot for their graduation. So glad they appreciated it...

Our Connections Bible Study continues in the summer. It's a terrific time to share needs, pray together, study God's Word, and get together.

We've outlined plans for Chapel Ministries for the coming year. There's a lot of excitement about all God is doing here, and all we believe He's going to do. So join us! The view from Chapel is one you don't want to miss.
